A busy day!

On the way to the vet yesterday, my poor baby!

He is doing good... sore but it will be a few days before he gets back to his normal self. I feel so bad for the little man. I was literally up a million times last night checking on him. All he did was sleep. I am a worry freak, so the slightest anything makes me go into panic!

After we dropped Leo off, we ran to Dunkin' Donuts for Breakfast.. yumm...

Then ran up into the city for Ryan's orthotic appointment, that went well. He always thinks he's funny, especially when he asked the doctor how the insoles would work in flip-flops. He doesn't even where flip flops.

We ran back home and did a little yard work until we went to pick up my little man Leo. I spent pretty much the rest of the night laying with him, because other wise he wouldn't stay still.
My husband also got a Banjo yesterday that he ordered.... lord help me. Remember one of my previous posts on that topic? You can read it here....

I'm happy for him, honestly. He has been wanting one for SO LONG. Now he has it, and the only thing I can say is.... he needs practice. It will come, we're going to get him a few lesson books and so forth so he can become the string pickin' redneck he wants to be.... haha... until then, I think I will invest in some ear plugs.

Now it's back to work. It was weird having the day off in the middle of the week. I'm exhausted today... from a busy day yesterday, to no sleep last night.. and from this cold that just WON'T go away!
Hopefully, I am feeling better before the weekend, because we have lots to do!

A New Do..and things

Last night I finally got my hair cut...

It's only been since before my wedding..so, like 6 months-ish. Way over due.

It was also super long, so I decided to take off 6 inches.. and boy does it feel so much better! (Thanks Alex!)

What do you think?

****************************************************

Only about 1 month now until we move..

Are you sick of hearing about that yet? I am.

I am just so excited.. it's all I think about, it's practically all I talk about. But, I have been super patient, and now it's just about time for me to actually have something work out... even if it took 6+ months.

I can't wait for you all to see our new home... and be apart of this little new chapter in our journey. Thanks for listening through all the times I bitched and moaned... through all of the times where I might have not been being patient. Thanks for being there for me to just let it all out... I appreciate you.

We have a million and one things to do before me move... I'll be super busy, but I love it. I love the million runs to Home Depot and Lowes. I love the endless nights of getting my hands dirty in the yard. I love the 100+ projects I have planned in my head that I am ready to tackle.. I love that we are making this house our home. But most of all, I love sharing all of these moments with my wonderful husband.

It puts a big smile on my face.

****************************************************

I have off work tomorrow... yippee!

Well, kind of.

I had to take the day off because we have a million things to do. Look for a post tomorrow night... with just pictures showing how our day.

1. Wake up early ( I don't even get to sleep in)
2. Bring Leo to the vet between 8-8:30 - Poor boy is getting fixed =/
3. Run into the city for Ryan's Orthotics apt... yes he needs custom orthotics, hopefully it helps his knees out.
4. Hopefully have some money to get lunch...
5. Possibly run to ThatFishPlace while we wait on Leo
6. Pick up Ryans Blazer, which is ALSO getting inspected tomorrow...
7. Pick up my little man and bring him home.
8. All the while watching my wallet cry.

It's going to be a crazy day, so much to get done at once. Thus the reason I had to take off....I wish it was a Friday, but the vets only fix dogs on Wednesdays, for whatever reason.

Happy Tuesday

Welcoming Miss Sophie

My mom finally got her puppy this weekend, she was so excited. So, Saturday morning we made the drive and picked her little self up. She is so tiny and sweet. Only 8 weeks old and already has a personality like you wouldn't believe. She's already showing signs of being a good dog... very calm, but playful, telling you when she's hungry and going outside to go potty...

My older dog Leo is not very fond of her yet... at all.

He is almost 5 years old, so I am considering him being an old grumpy man. He wants nothing to do with her, hardly looks at her and runs when she wants to play. Completely opposite of what I thought would happen. I thought he would love her to pieces, he usually does. I hope he warms up to her soon, because it's getting on my nerves! But, I am giving him lots of attention, like I always do, maybe even more. I don't want him to feel like he is being replaced, because he is not. It'll take time, but I think it will be easier when she gets older, because right now she is just this tiny furball.

Is she not cute?

I couldn't help myself.. I took a video of her to show everyone.. oh so cute and playful!!

Halfway there

Were halfway to the weekend... and another busy one it will be!

I'm sure we will be out working in the  yard... we have most of it done, now it's time to just accessorize! Like a clothes line, a compost.. you know, things we have to make? I'd like to consider that accessorizing the yard.

PLUS... my mom gets her puppy!!! I can't wait to get my hands on that little cutie... Click here to see the post with pictures on her. It will be so fun having a puppy in the house again. At least I get to enjoy her for about a month before we move....

Which is only 38 days. It may seem like it's still far away (and it does) but it sort of doesn't. They days are slowly going by, but soon we will finally have our very own home. 38 days feels like nothing compared to the 200+ days that I have had to wait..(and that's just from the wedding) I'd like to think I'm a pretty patient person, although I've had my moments.

Now it feels like the pressure is on to get everything done that we want to get done... everyday its something. Packing, cleaning, buying, planning, budgeting... the list goes on. But, when the day comes and we are moving in and everything comes together, that will be an awesome day. I just can't wait to get all of my things out of storage and boxes and finally put them to use.

38 days....

Truth be told.... I've never been on my own. The thought is crazy to me. I went to a college that I could commute to. I never have experienced being out of my house. I think this one reason I am SO READY to get out there, be on my own, do my own thing. This is a first for me.

I am ready for it.
