Life of a busy bee...

Things have been crazy around here lately... Just continuing our ever going project, of projects.

I must say I'm pleased with how the house is coming along, very pleased. We finished the fish pond that looks great... And finally got some fish! We finished putting up and cleaning out the chicken coop, and will be starting the chicken yard (fencing) tonight and this weekend. We're getting a few chickens tomorrow :)

Life is a bit crazy, things are tight but were getting by. I couldn't imagine it any other way.

It's crazy that September is just around the corner, where has the summer gone?

And, talking about September, in exactly a month, Ryan and I will have been married for a year... It's just amazing how time flies, it feels just like yesterday I was walking down that aisle.

We have just a few more projects to finish up for the summer outside. We've really been busting butt to get as much done outside as we can before summer ends. Then hopefully next year we can focus on smaller things and not have such filled weeks of big projects. (hopefully)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

BzzAgent Review: BIC Soleil Savvy Razors

Back again with another BzzAgent product review! If you don't remember, BzzAgent is a free website to sign up to and receive real products (not teeny tiny samples) and all you have to do is share your genuine opinion on the product! If you love free stuff like me, check it out!

Today's review is on the BIC Soleil Savvy Disposables razors.

Here are some facts:

  • Each BIC Soleil Savvy package contains one disposable handle and four refillable cartridges
  • The razor's handle includes a rubber grip for added control
  • Triple-blade heads feature flexible blade technology and lubricating strips with Vitamin E
  • Pivoting heads are made to follow a woman's contours and provide a super-close shave
  • Available at grocery stores, drug stores and mass retailers (like Walmart) for a suggested retail price of $7.49

My experience?

I was pretty excited to receive the disposable razors, who wouldn't? Razors are so darn expensive these days. I was eager to try it out. My current razor was the Venus by Gillette, I'm pretty faithful to that brand, unless I'm broke, then I'll cut back and get some disposables. I had JUST put a new head on my Venus, so I decided to compare the two side by side.

My first initial reaction was that I was about to rip my skin off my leg. It definitely felt sharp, I was afraid to push to hard... I might bleed to death. It is said to have pivoting heads, but I didn't feel much pivoting going on, like I said, I didn't want to press too hard, and since it really wasn't moving well with my skin (pivoting) I was a little cautious.

My next reaction was how easily the head popped off! I was afraid to really go to town with this thing... it could have gotten dangerous.

I used the BIC Soleil Savvy for about two weeks... I just kept using it to give it the benefit of the doubt. Honestly, after shaving I could STILL fill prickles, and the next day, it felt like I didn't even shave. It definitely was not giving me the close shave I was looking for.

To top it off? After about a week of shaving.... IT RUSTED!!! Who wants to use a rusty razor, uhmm, not I?

My Rusty Razor

To say the least... I was disappointed. I'll continue to use the rest of the refills, because I won't waster them, but they'll probably only last two weeks (and there is 4 of them)

Sadly, although the price is not too bad... I'd rather pay the extra dough and get a razor that I know is 1. Not going to cut me 2. Going to give me the closest and best shave and 3. Not rust on me just after a week or so.

Sorry BIC, but I won't be buying your razors.
