Tomorrow.. the BIG day!

Today went great. We got everything done for the wedding tomorrow with no problems, no drama... just perfect.

Although it did rain all day and we got soaked, but it really was a very productive day. I am very pleased.

And the barn? It looks beautiful, it really is everything I wanted, it looks great. I think everyone is going to love it.

Rehearsal dinner was fabulous, the food was great, the atmosphere was lovely.. and everyone loved their gifts Ryan and I got them. Score.

I am so excited and anxious for tomorrow... my wedding is finally here.. it really is unbelievable that I am getting married tomorrow.

I get to finally marry my best friend and soul mate, what more could I ask for? It's our day tomorrow.. and I can't wait. (I can't wait for him to see me... because I know he is going to have a tear or two)

Tomorrow will be filled with love... fun... family and friends.. it of course will be the best day of my life, and I can't wait to share it with them.

Of course I will share pictures when I get them back.. and I will put some up of the cruise when we get back from that as well.

This will probably be my last post for a week... so stay tuned, I will be back! Were off to the Bahamas after the wedding!!!

Its time for me to become Mrs. Hudler.

Here we are... only 2 days left

Today was my final day at work with a nice longggg vacation.. and boy does it feel good.

Two days before I get married... wow.. its here.

Tomorrow will consist of bringing up some decorations to the venue and setting up just a few things. We only have so much space in our cars.. so a few trips is needed.

I'll also be doing some more packing.. and getting some moolahh out for the cruise.

Then I am going to attempt to wash my car with hopes that it doesnt rain too much and ruin in.. but ohwell.

My maid of honor will be joining me tomorrow night and well be staying over.. love that girl, she knows exactly what I need.. girl time... time to vent and bitch really..

Other then that.. its going to be a busy day. The fiance is going to pick up his Tux... I am sure he is going to look sharp in it.

Honestly though.. people keep asking me if I am nervous and I keep saying no. It's not because I am lying, its because I am seriously not nervous. I have waiting for this day for my whole life.. and it is finally almost here. Why would I be nervous to marry my best friend and soul mate? Why would I be nervous when I am about to party my ass off? Nope.. I am beyond excited. That is where I will leave it.

Saturday, cant come soon enough!

Nope.. I wont do it.

I told myself that I wouldn't write about my wedding at all in this post.. so here I go.

So today, I am going to do a little questionnaire.. about me of course..

Every see on like Facebook those questionnaire's people do alllll the time? It will be like.. "It's 3 AM, I'm bored, so I did this" My response usually is.. If you're bored, go to bed. Seems pointless to spend time on one, especially since most of the questions are pretty dumb, and are just things people think that others need to know, or things others don't want to know, but people want to tell them anyway...does that make sense?

I guess because it's the cool thing to do. Well, I don't think I've done one since I was in middle school... and I need a boost of cool today.. so I decided to do one (I just picked a random one, I didn't even look at the questions) and give you tid-bits of myself whether you wanted to know it or not... enjoy.

Is it Monday already?

Wow.. where did my weekend go?

I'm pretty sure it jumped right out the window.

My weekend consisted of pure wedding craziness. We got a good bit done... finished the favors, did some organizing, planning, and had our final meeting with the venue and photographer.

But... there is still much to do.

Tonight will also consist of pure wedding craziness.. and everyday forth until Saturday.

Tonight I get to start packing for the cruise.. and I loooveeee packing! It's the unpacking that sucks... but I loooveee packing!

My Aunt from California will be flying in tomorrow to help through the week. It will be great to see her!

Tomorrow night my friend is... ehh.. waxing my legs! =) I have had my eyebrows waxed... but not my legs. This will be interesting to say the least. I'm not too afraid.. I personally have a high tolerance to pain, always have. So, I'm pretty sure that I will be OK.

The funny this is we will be doing it outside on her back patio... one its going to be kind of chilly and two I'll be in my underwear, hope her neighbors don't mind!

I'd like to write more.. but my mind it wandering in a million places...

Just a few days left

Today was a busy one... and tomorrow will be as well.

Did some last minute wedding shopping and got a few small things.

I feel like I have been running around this house non-stop... but I have another feeling tomorrow I will be sprinting.

Nothing crazy.. just those last minute details that have to be done.

On a fun note, "checked in" to our cruise... which got me even more excited!

This is my last weekend as Amber Greenleaf... oh how wierd.

Am I the only one who can not wait to get married... but is a little hesitant that I will no longer have the same last name? It is such a wierd feeling... I guess it will take some time to get used to it. I just feel like... damn.. this is who I've been for 21 years... Amber Greenleaf... and in just a few days I will be Amber Hudler. Such a different feeling... don't get me wrong.. I would never be one to hyphenate or not take my future husbands last name. I know he would be offended, and I would never do that to him! I guess it just feels funny... saying it, signing it, and all of the above. =) .... Amber Hudler....

This week will be jammed pack.. and I'll be sure to fill you all in with all of my crazy busy details..

A Few Good Deals!!

Anyone ever watch Extreme Couponing? I love that show, it amazes me everytime. What's worse is, I WISH I had the time to do that. I love coupons.. I love good deals.. and I search for them, always.

So one thing I wanted to write about in my blog as well is all the good deals I find! Because in these days, getting deals really does matter, especially when you are strapped for cash!

First let me start of by telling you about Women's Freebies. I joined this website a couple months ago. It hasn't let me down yet. I've already signed up for 4 different FREE products, for real peeps, absolutely FREE. They send you a daily email on coupons and free stuff and giveaways. It's easy... just sign up. And if you're one of those people that hate putting in their email address all over the internet, why not make a second free email on hotmail or something just for stuff like this? So worth it!

Then we have VistaPrint. I LOVE this place.. I got a ton of stuff off here for my wedding. Great prices, and they are always having sales and FREE stuff. One good tip is you have to know how to work the cart, so I say. There are always ways around getting more off. For example... with VistaPrint I was ordering t-shirts for my bridal party through one of their sales where you got one t-shirt for 99 cents, yes 99 cents. Well, one of the t-shirts was higher priced, so with adding the that t-shirt first it made it 99 cents.. then I closed out of that, and yes it saved my cart. I then went into my email and clicked on the promotion that had sent me advertising t-shirts on sale from their original price. So not only did I get them almost half off, I got one for 99 cents as well. BadaBoom!

Check it out...
Vista Print

If you are an AC Moore's fan (which I will be going their this weekend) They are having some great sales! Here is a coupons for 40% off any one item...There are some older ones on there so make sure you look at the expiration date. If you are signed up for their emails you would see an actual 50% off coupon... which I will be using.

I've also updated my Sweet Deals page, so check that out for some printable coupons and some good offers.

That's what I got for your right now! Have fun shopping!!

A little bit of everything...

Tonight I get to pick up my wedding dress finally! It is all set and ready... had to take it in a size (fabulous right?)
I am excited to see how it fits now. Maybe just maybe, I'll give a few sneak peak photos of it... so stay tuned for tomorrow.

9 days... thats how many days I have left to get my butt into gear. We really dont have too much else left to do, but its the small, tedious items that take up so much time! For my wedding, my mother and I have decided to a lot of things by hand. Not only is it fun,  its also money savers too. It's always cheaper to do it yourself. Most people have called us crazy for doing so much, but why not? I enjoy making things so detailed, and hopefully people will notice at the wedding, because frankly, after cutting "something" out for 30 minutes, my hand tends to hate me.

**********************

Tomorrow I am going to the Fair... it's about the biggest thing that happens in this little town. Last night was the parade, and it was the first time I have missed it in a long time, I was kind of bummed. But, I guess that is what happens when you "grow" up. I work too late, so by time I would have gotten there, found parking, and walked somewhere in town to watch it,  it would have been half done.

You know what is one of my favorite things about the Fair? The food, duh! I just love getting the famous pork BBQ sandwich with fries and a milkshake.. oh yum. I am going with my cousin and her kids who want to participate in the pedal tractor pull.... =) good times.

Its not a big fair, no rides or carnival games. It's a small hometown kind of fair, you know with the farm animals and lots of tractors and tents with lots of free goodies, that kind of fair. It's only three days long, but it's the biggest thing that happens around here.... so I have to attempt to make it one night!

**********************

Got a busy weekend ahead of me, lots of finalizing for the wedding, and starting to pack for my cruise! woohoo!
Happy Thursday!

My Crazy Dream

I had the craziest dream last night... it wasnt just an ordinary crazy dream like I usually have, I actually played this dream out, like awake. OK, that really sounds confusing, but let me tell you what happened.. maybe you'll understand then. What is even crazier is I remember all of it, and pretty much laughed at myself after coming to...

But first, here is a little background on my "sleep habits"... I am a very  light sleeper.. anything tends to wake me up. Every noise, and practically every movement, I wake up everytime I roll over.. so annoying. I also tend to talk in my sleep alot... Not just mumbling a few words, but you can actually have a conversation with me. Sometimes I remember this... sometimes not, and sometimes I actually catch myself talking in my sleep and wake up thinking... "what the hell did I just say???!"

So here is what happened last night... and Ryan doesn't remember any of it happening (he is a DEEP sleeper, we're total opposites)

I'm having this dream, and at the moment I can't really remember what it was about, I only remember the events that happened next. Anyway, I was somewhere with some people and they handed me a bucket of crabs, they were all suppose to be dead, but then all of the sudden one jumped out of the bucket. It must have startled me in my sleep, because at that moment I believe I woke up.

Well, then I thought the crab was in our bed. So, I quickly yelled to Ryan... "GET UP, OH MY GOD ITS IN OUR BED" (while taking all the covers and rolling them up)

He mumbles...remember he is a deep sleeper, so I yelled pretty loud for him to sorta wake up..."What are you talking about"

I said.... "The CRAB... its in our bed, GET Up!" He then pulls the cover back up over him and rolls over. I then jumped out of bed, frantically.... "Are you crazy!?! RYAN!!!??? I dont know where it is, you need to get up!!!"

....yes I am awake, but still in my dream....

I then carefully started to grab the sheets and look for the crab... well there was no crab...

Then just like I ran into a brick wall I came to... and I just stood there beside the bed asking myself "What the hell are you doing???" Then I realized that it was all a dream, and told myself how dumb I was and that there was no crab in the bed.
I whispered to Ryan, and luckily he was fast asleep again... I was hoping he wouldn't remember what I just did because it was insane!

So, I laughed at myself and walked to the bathroom.. then came back and went back to bed... with no crab in our bed.
That is what you call.. living in a dream...

It still makes me laugh as I am writing this...

Floods everywhere!

Here are some pictures I was able to get a few days ago when we got the really bad flooding. My usualy 25-30 minute drive home took me an hour due to having to turn around and try and find another way home around 5 times. Take a look!

The Bridge I normally go under

Water was just about to come over this bridge I was driving over =/

Another spot on my drive home... there is a bridge about 500 feet up, not too far in front of the yellow sign.

This is normally a field.

It's getting real

Today the fiancé and I left early from work to make it into the city to apply for out marriage license.

We just made it in time too...

We both couldn't take off too many hours so we cut it close, and close we did. I was driving like a bat out of hell. And was one of those drivers i tend to curse at daily.

I had no choice!

We sped to the city.. And once we arrived proceeded to pass the only parking spot... So as quickly as I could I went around the block again. We thankfully got the spot and ran to the court house. Of course Ryan went off when be walked through the metal detector.. Must have been his steel toed boots..

But we got through and ran upstairs with ten minutes til close on the clock... Phew!

There was another young couple in front of us.. So we waited patiently. Finally it was our turn and $40 and two minutes later we had our certificate in our Hands!!!

Now it feels real... Not that all the other stuff didn't but this is what makes it official... It's exciting!!

14 days.... (I'm posting on my phone so I can't put my cute countdown calendar up)

Here it is in all it's glory... Of course it's not complete but it will be soon enough!!!

Visits from California

Yesterday I was surprised with finding out my future brother-in-law, sister-in-law and nephew had made a longggggg trip the whole way from California!! What.A.Surprise!

My brother-in-law is a Marine stationed out in Twentynine Palms, California on the Marine base. We visited them end of June, beginning of July. Let me start by just saying, Twentynine Palms is located in the middle of no where in a desert. Its hot.... and it is a place all in its own. We had a great time out their visiting them after not seeing them for almost a year. Of course it was also fabulous to see my cute little nephew who had gotten so big since the last time I had seen them.

But fast forward to today. This little family had DROVE from CA... yes over 2,000 miles he put on his car to come visit his family for just a few days. Can you imagine driving that far? They drove non-stop for 2 days, only stopping twice for some extra long naps. I personally would love to take a road trip across the country and stop every where we could. Its the adventure of seeing all the different places and trying all the different food! That is one thing I  L.O.V.E  to do... try new foods. I am not one to stick to plain foods, I like to try all different cuisine.. I guess I will have to put that on my bucket list - Road Trip Across Country.

So maybe some of you are wondering as to why they drove all this way to visit family for just 3 days? My brother-in-law will be deploying to Afghanistan at some point next week (they never tell them official dates) So, as a spur of the moment decision they decided to drive the whole way home so he could visit his family before heading overseas to fight for our country.

If you haven't done so yet... thank a soldier. They give up so much leaving home to fight for our country. They give up their families, their comfort, and their safety. They give up so much. Thank them.

With that in mind.. I am heading over to see them again before they jump back in the car to make the long trip back home again.

The Stress List

My weekend was full of shopping... and shopping... in the busy labor day shopping frenzy. can I just say that I hate traffic. BUT, I can say that my fiance hates it even more, and he sure does get cranky in it. Talk about fun...

I was able to get some wedding items done... the programs have been written along with other little items that needed made. The favor bags are just about done, just a few more small things and we are ready to go. Its crazy to think that I will be married in... wait.for.it........

At this moment, here is my stress list....

1. Still need to finalize the wedding party gifts aka the small details, bags, thank you cards, etc
2. Still need to get our parents final gifts
3. Need to have all literature printed out (programs, name cards, table #'s, etc)
4. Need to make our wedding wishes tree (this will actually be fun!)
5. Need to keep breaking in my shoes
6. Finish up the favor bags!
7. Finalize our cruise details
8. Start packing for the cruise =)
9. Get everything in order for the big day
10. Find thee hairstyle that I want
11. Learn what relax  means.

**So my question to all of you who have been through the craziness of a wedding... what is your advice? What are the tiny details that sometimes get overpassed?

I've already heard the common advice... relax and have fun.. your day will never go as planned... and dont stress.. but I want to know the LITTLE things, the things people always seem to forget to tell you.. have at it!

The Countdown Begins

22 days... that is how many I have left until my wedding... can you tell I am a little excited?

I figured since we are officially in the month that we are getting married I can begin my countdown. It is not longer like 146 days... its 22. So, prepare to see this on every post:

This weekend we are going to do the paper work for our marriage license.. yippee! We are also picking up my wedding band, because it finally came in! I am going to be so bummed I can't wear it for another 3 weeks, it is so gorgeous! Were also doing a few odds and end things as well, like buying the chuck taylors that my fiance wants all the boys to wear for the ceremony... whatever he wants, as long as he is comfortable! Besides, I think they will look pretty sharp!

****************
This morning I read a post by Katie over on ThePoopWhisperer. Take a look, its a blog for moms from moms... and yes I know, I am not a mom yet, but their posts are funny, and give me good info for the future. So, all you current moms, or soon to be moms, take a look, or all you non moms like me that just like to read good stuff head on over, they have a few moms with great advice that rotate on posts.

Anyway, the post was on bringing your child to a chiropractor, and it got me actually thinking of myself. For a long time now I have been wanting to go to one, just never really got around to it. I actually thought it would cost like a fortune or something, but after talking to a few people I have found that it really won't. So, I'm thinking about going to one, because I am pretty damn sure I am all out of whack, and have been for a long time. Constant back and neck pains, plus the fact I have a mild case of scoliosis, and that doesn't help, it probably is the root cause. I'm hoping that I can find someone to help get rid of all the pain, and in the end hopefully get rid of some other problems I have like headaches, and sleeping problems. Now, i just have to find a good, reputable Dr. Time to start doing some research....

Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!!
