Tisk Task...

A little bit here and there for you today....

Last night I spent most of my evening cleaning my house... and finally shredding up the zucchini thats been sitting on my counter forever now. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE having our garden, but it's definitely a lot of work, and the vegetables always seem to come in and ripen at the WORST times. The times when I have a million other things to do. That's life.

I have my OB apt today. It's usually not that big of a deal for me, I mean they are quick 15 minute checkups that I do get to hear that precious heartbeat every time. Today though I will talk to her about the pains I have been having and see what they say. It kind of has me nervous, hopefully though it really isn't anything bad and I can laugh at myself after all of this. I'll keep ya up to date.

I had a dream last night that the baby was stretching in my stomach (nothing new, I was probably dreaming that because he has been just stretching my belly like crazy past couple days) anyway.. he stretched SO MUCH that his face was popping out of my belly! I could see every feature of his face. I screamed to Ryan to quickly come look. And the baby yawned and stretched and we could see all his cuteness, yes in my skin on my belly. Kinda creepy if you really think about it, but I think it was just me being so excited to see what he is going to look like. I just can't wait to hold his little self.

THIS Saturday is my baby shower, and I am SO SO SO SOOOOO excited! It's going to be a perfect day, with the weather going to be beautiful and being able to spend the day with all my family and friends. It's going to be a fun time, I can't wait to share about it afterwards.

Before my shower I am having a Maternity photo shoot! I am also, very excited for this! We are having photos done by my friend Rebecca who also did our 1 Year Anniversary photos last year. I just LOVED those photos and I knew she would do a spectacular job with my maternity shoot. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. I also have a few things up my sleeve for it too. I know they will turn out great, hopefully she'll get my good side, you know, my belly, not my growing ass ;)

So much going on this week has my anxiety (in a good way) going up! Just got to finish cleaning up my house tonight and I'll feel better!

Take a chance on life

Recently, I had the opportunity to try something great... a chance to maybe, just maybe, change my life.

The possibilities? Endless.

I'm so ready for a change in my life... and I believe this could be it. For once in my life, I can see myself being where I want to be. This won't obviously happen over night... but in time, I could be there.

I'll of course share more in time.. because I believe this opportunity I was given, could not only help me physically and financially.. but I believe it could help many of you also.

Sometimes we have to take risks to get to where we want to be. You're dreams are only as far as you can reach, the hardest part is actually reaching out to grab them.

Well, I'm reaching out.

Eventually, we all move forward

Everyday you work towards something.... whether it be getting a good grade when your in school, to passing that big exam to get you into college... to graduating.. to finding a job that will help you start a career... to finding your one true love to marry... have kids.... get a house...

This is life.

Everyday we work hard... we have dreams. Everyday it brings you closer to the things you want the most.

Eventually, we all move forward.

Well, in two days I am about to move forward into a part of my life that I have been waiting ever so patiently for, moving out.

Finally, after being together for over 5 years, married for 7 months, Ryan and I are getting our own home!

Our very own place to call home, begin our lives together, and move forward.

It can be scary, exciting, so many emotions piled into such a short hectic time. I have all of those feelings running through my head.

Sometimes, things happen in a way we never imagined they would. Sudden changes, but in the end, they always turn out for the best, in ways we never imagined. Everything has a reason for happening the way it does.

I might be a little absent in these next few days, as I begin to get really really busy painting, fixing, and moving into my new home.

Don't worry, I will have lots of pics and details to tell once I can sit down for a minute. I'm as excited about moving as being able to share this moment with you all as well.

Decisions.. Decisions..

So you can see that I gave the blog a little bit of a makeover...

As I was looking around the blog.. figuring out a few changes down the road that might occur, I sat there and thought about my blog title.

I'm still new at this blogging... been doing it about a year now... and of course when I started to blog, I had to just come up with a title to get it going. I did give it a good bit of thoughts... you know, what I would be writing about, and what the blog could turn into. I had no idea really.

It pretty much has stayed within the realms as I thought it would. Just a day to day review of my days, thoughts, visions, interests, hobbies, but most importantly my dreams as I continue to build my life, and everything being so new.

From getting engaged, to my wedding... to now being on the verge of finally getting into our new home. Dreams, and lots of them, and many many more to come!

So, my blog is titled... Life with a dream.... and it's still completely there.. my Life, and the many many dreams I have, but part of me just doesn't feel like the title is complete.

I thought about it yesterday, and wanted to see my readers opinions.. I know you're out there (I have stats people) So leave me a comment on here with what you think about this new title I am proposing.

As much as this blog is about me.. and the things I do... it's now also about Ryan and I.. and our dreams and day to day adventures. Our life together as one, and honestly, I just kind of like this name a little better...

So, here it is, what do you think?

The home stretch

We're in home stretch now... just a few short weeks, and I will be able to say...."This is my home"

My very own home!

How I have waited to say those words... how patient I have been.

I am ready for this.

There is only a few last thing I have to get set up... Tv and Internet pretty much is it. I also have to confirm delivery of our appliances, but other then that we are pretty set to go.

We have a few last projects that we will be working on in these next couple weeks. Some outside stuff, like putting up a clothes line, and repainting my bedroom set, which will be in the spare bedroom. All these things seem so small now. Like, after all we have done so far to fix the house (yard and basement) these items are tiny in comparison to the time and effort we have already put in. I know there will be a lot more to do when we get inside.. like painting, which will be the first thing we do when we get in, but I just can't wait to make this Ryan and I's home... to eventually start our family in this house, and make lots and lots of memories.

I'm smiling right now..

April 28th... is the day we get the keys... =)

I finally feel like my life it coming along exactly how I wanted it to. (Well, not 100%, there are still a few changes that need to be made, but it's getting there)

It's going to be a busy next couple of weeks, and I'm going to love every minute of it.

A totally out there post

Bare with me on this random and totally out there post.

Lately I have been thinking of my future.

Where will I be in 5, 10, 15 years? What will I be doing? Will I be happy?

Have you ever wanted to just look into your future, take a peek at what your life will be like?

I do.

I also ask myself, am I doing the right things? Am I making the right choices?

I don't want to look back in 10, 20, shit, 50 years from now and say, "I wish I would have done that."

I don't want that shit.

I want to make sure that in that moment... I say, "I wouldn't have changed a thing."

I guess to some extent.. maybe it's not my decision, or is it?

If you could look into the future and change it, would you?

I'm not sure what I would do... guess it depended where I was, how I was doing. Just to get that piece of mind to know I'm doing this right, that the paths I am taking will lead me in the right direction.

I guess no one ever knows.

All I can do is tell myself that I am going the right way, and I will get to where I want to go.

But, wouldn't it be nice to just have a little peek?

Counting down the days

I'm counting down the days until we move.... each day seems to go slower and slower...

(tick tock tick tock)

On a good note, we started working on the basement... We'd like to finish it, and it needs a lot of work. So, I am thankful that we got a head start on working on it. It will help out a lot in the end when we move and the basement is hopefully near complete. We will see. I took some before pictures, and I'll take some after pictures to show everyone, it will be interesting to see the before and after!

There are still so many things I want to get done before we move. I'm in the "Well lets try and do as much possible before we move, because we're already going to have a lot to do" mood. And it's like tiny little things that take 5 minutes... but NO they MUST be done now, except they are still sitting there.. . blah. I'm going to get a lot of things done this weekend, because it's bugging me.

I have all these visions for my home...but sometimes worry it won't make it to par with my visions... Will it be nice? Will I be able to do the things I want? Will they GET DONE? A million visions, and a million questions running through my head. But, I'm not your average gal.... when I want something done, it will get done.. because I don't like to push projects aside... (although I admit that it happens sometimes) I'm not perfect people, but I like to think I'm close (harhar)

I'll give you a sneak peak of the before pictures for the basement, they don't show the whole basement, but a good bit of the rooms... it may not look to bad to you, but what ya'll don't know is that it has a serious water leakage problem... thus the reason we are starting to work on it early before moving date...

This is the before of Ryan's going to be Man Cave...

This is the before of what is going to be my craft room...

This is my AFTER vision for my craft room... More going with the colors and relaxing atmosphere.

All in due time!!!

Dreams.....

Dreaming... a nightly ritual for me. I very rarely ever go a night without have a dream (or a few). Some people have told me they don't dream through the night, this is crazy talk to me. I am so used to having such vivid, realistic dreams, that sometimes I wake up and have to come to my senses that it was merely, just a dream.

In college, I did a report on the dreams, it was actually a really interesting topic to research, especially if you are like me and are constantly dreaming.

The body actually goes through phases through the night. The phases are simply named: 1-2-3-4 & REM. 3 & 4 are the deep sleep phases, and it is hard to wake someone up during this period. Everyone is different though, I for one am a VERY light sleeper. Any sound or movement (even my own movement) can wake me up. Thus, why I think I am so tired in the mornings, because I never really get a good night sleep.

Dreams occur during the REM phase (Rapid Eye Movement) yes... your eyes move alot during this phase. We also can dream in non-REM phases.... this would include the short phase before you wake up, that is where most of the dreams you remember probably come from. It is said that people dream an average of 4-6 times per night, with an average of about 2 hours of dreaming... obvoiusly not everyone remembers all of them.

I do mostly...

I can definitely say that I have had some strange, strange dreams. When I tell them to my fiance, he just kind of looks at me like I am nuts!

It's not like I pick my dreams.

Ever have a dream that you just didn't want to wake up from? I have a love-hate feeling about those dreams. They're the type you love when your dreaming, but as soon as you wake up you get so angry! Then you try the, "Well, I'll just go back to sleep." Like you are going to pick right up where you left off... like pausing a movie or something.

If its a really good dream, then I guess it don't hurt to try! Sometimes, I am successful, but I think the plot changes after I fall back to sleep. I guess I will never know the true endings on those dreams.

Ever try deciphering your dream? There are lots of books and websites dedicated to this. Sometimes, when you decipher your dream it is a little freaky (if it pertains to something in your life) or it is totally out there. That can be fun... some places get a little crazy with it, and decipher every object in your dream. I'm talking like a chair... it's a chair, does it really mean something?

I guess it could, just seems a little over the top. I want to decipher emotions, and experiences in my dreams, not the chair I was sitting on?

This topic could really go on forever... maybe one of these days I will post about a crazy dream I have. Then you all can decipher it for me!

So, I want to know... What is the craziest dream you have ever had?

Or... What was your "I just want to pick up where I left off" dream?

I can see the weekend peeking around the corner!
