Its cold, and I love it

We left our windows in the bedroom open last night, and I woke up freezing.... YES!

Fall is my favorite season, it always has been and always will. My birthday falls what I consider in the middle of Fall (October 14th!) and has always made Fall that extra special. My Fall season is from September 1st through end of November. That's Fall to me, because once you hit December, that is all about Christmas, that's Winter.

Fall just makes me happy, and I totally need that right now. I've decorated, and started preparing the gardens for the season, and thinking about wearing sweatshirts and boots just makes me smile. The only downside this Fall is no camping... we love to go camping in the Fall and at 8-9 months pregnant, I just don't know if I could handle it. There is always next year.

BUT THIS FALL... is the best of any Falls, I will get to meet my sweet boy.. less then 6 weeks til my due date now... and I'm getting more and more excited. I'm hoping to have an early birthday present! A girl can hope!

Nights are beginning to be harder and harder to get some good sleep. I don't wake up every hour to pee like some women, just once between 2 and 4 am sometime... but my bones... oh my bones how they hurt. My lower back and hips and all those joints around there are hating me. Getting up at night and in the morning... shit, anytime I sit for an extended period of time makes me want to cry. OK.. not cry, but  DAMN IT HURTS. I swear one of these days my legs are just going to give out underneath me.

The belly is definitely starting to get in the way... of everything.

Also... people keep telling me that he will stop moving as much as he is getting less and less room. Well, he hasn't yet. I think he's got a shit ton of room in there, because he still moves like he is doing gymnastics or something. And as much as I enjoy feeling him move, and just sitting here wondering what he is possibly doing in there.... OUCH. He's under my hip bone, pushing out my belly button, and he is low.. oh so low that I think he could stick a hand out and wave.

Don't get me wrong, I love it.. and as a million and one people have told me that I will miss it... sometimes depending on what he is doing in there, I don't think I will miss is that much... especially when he's down there pinching on my bladder sending pain the whole way out... well you get it. Miss that? Probably not.

You know what I love? My husband. (big surprise right?) But seriously, I have to give a little credit to him in the fact that he's totally awesome. He has been the best through this whole pregnancy... listening to my every "hey, babe he's moving, come feel!" (probably ten times a day) to my every complaint, and whine of "can you help me" (he's hearing that ALOT more these days). But after everything, he still makes me feel great. Those developing stretch marks that I finally saw and pointed out to him, he just laughed and said "All I see is beauty marks." To this morning when finding clothes is becoming harder and harder, without wearing the SAME maternity shirts I have over and over again, he looks at me and smiles and says how cute I look.

Gosh... he's great. I won't say perfect, because NO ONE is perfect, and I hate when people say that, but he's pretty darn awesome, and I'm pretty darn lucky to have him. It's the little things that count people. He's going to be a great father.

Bump Alert - 27 1/2 weeks.

So here I am, almost 28 weeks, ok 27 weeks and 4 days - it's over halfway.

But, whoa, 7 months? This time is flying by. I can remember the wait to announce I was pregnant, it felt like forever. The first weeks were so hard, keeping it a secret, being scared of what could happen. Now, here I am in my 3rd trimester, the final homestretch.

I want to treasure every moment of this pregnancy, and I have been (to my best ability) but I'm ready for this baby to make his entrance, and for my body to go back to being able to do day to day tasks, without huffing and puffing, or muscles pulling... but mainly, I just want to meet my little man.

I have another ultrasound in a month (SO FAR AWAY) and I can't wait to see his cute little face again.

So.. the bump alert. My belly is definitely growing everyday it seems now. Although, my husband tells me it's not as big as what I think it is. HAH.

Here is my 18 weeks vs 27 weeks photo. I took this photo Monday. Same shirt, and definitely NOT as loose. Obviously you can see the difference, but I guess looking at it now, it's not THAT extreme. Must be all in my head.

18 weeks
27 weeks

I've done pretty good in the gaining weight department so far. I won't lie I started with some extra pounds to begin with (something that WILL be coming off after this baby). 1st trimester I lost weight, I'm not exactly sure how much really, because as I was losing my weight baby K was gaining his weight. I think I lost about 15 pounds. I just NOW, reached my before baby weight, plus 2 pounds now. So, I guess you could say I've only gained 2 pounds this pregnancy thus far.

I'm not really worrying about it to be honest though. I just want to be healthy for the baby, so if I gain X amount, it's whatever. I'll deal with it after, but I think I've been doing pretty good so far. I know eating for "two" really isn't real, it's more eating a few extra calories a day. PLUS I knew going into this that gaining weight for me is something that comes EASY. Something I've always dealt with in my life, which I eventually found out why, you can read that past post here.

I do enjoy my bumpity bump. Now, that I actually look pregnant, something I was excited for. I enjoy seeing him twist and turn in there (there was straight alien stuff happening last night) and knowing that I am growing a little miracle inside of me. It's a great feeling.

This was a few photos I got the hubby to take for our 20 week gender announcement, I thought he did pretty good! He thought he was being so artistic. =)

My favorite time of the year is Fall. I'm always excited for it, but this year, well this year brings on a whole new excitement.

Back to normal

I finally feel that my life is getting back to "normal" or what normal is to me. I'm still running around, and doing a million things, but thats just my life. Put a wedding on top of that and it makes for a crazy few months. Now that is over, it's almost like..."What do I do with myself?"

Now were at the moving stage in our lives. We still live at my parents house for the time being, but have our home lined up for us and will be moving out hopefully by March. I cannot wait. I finally get to start my life with my husband, on our own, and facing things together by ourselves. Sounds scary, but it excites me actually. To finally have our own place to raise a family, and live life together, and really just having a place to call my own. Do things how I want.... I am actually so excited to be able to decorate our home. The home we plan to move into is where I was born. My parents built the house.. and then when I was 6 we moved into my grandparents farm house... we have been renting the house out ever since.

The house is great, and its perfect for us. I cant imagine living anywhere else, in sense it was like my parents built the house before I was born for me... and here it is... for me. I feel so grateful to be able to live and raise my family in the house my parents built. It just gives it that extra special feeling. Let alone, its perfect location, with lots of land and exactly where i want to be at.

Did I mention I'll be my parents neighbors? Yep.... Right down the road.

And I am OK with that! See.... to make a long story short, my grandparents bought a farm and built on to the small farmhouse that was on the farm, then my dad built a house across the creek on the other side of the valley on the farm... and that is how it came to be. I don't mind, I couldn't imagine living far from my parents... I'm actually really excited.

So, our next step in life is moving out.... so I am sure you will be hearing about that a few times.

This month is always a busy one... this Friday is my birthday.. I turn 22 - sounds old to me.
Then Saturday is the apple festival and that should be some good Fall fun.

Next weekend we might be driving down to Virginia to have a weekend with my family... but we havent made a final decision yet... guess we will see.

I am hoping to get some wedding pictures back soon... I hope they dont take to long. As soon as I do I'll be sure to put them up!

Back and then Gone

oh boy... what a hard week. It was so hard coming back to work after 10 days of vacation and a trip to Paradise... I was ready to come, now all I can do is sit here and day dream of laying on the beach and sipping on some kind of drink with a lot of rum in it.....

ahhh...... blue water and blue skies.....

Then I snap back into it and my grumpy face returns..

This weekend the hubby (still so weird calling him that) and I are taking a road trip up to New York. We are going up to visit close friends and attend their engagement party. So, I will be gone again all weekend.

It's going to be a busy month. October is ALWAYS a busy month for me... so many things going on. It is probably one of my favorite months of the year... because I love Fall, it's my birthday month, I love the weather and the activities, and I am always so busy. Love.

Well the good news people is its Friday... so smiling is permitted!

August? Where did you go?

I cant believe that it is the last day of August already.. this summer has flown by! It feels just like yesterday that I was getting excited for warm weather!

I feel as if I hardly got anything accomplished this summer.. here are a few things I did... went to the beach, visited family in California, planned my wedding, watched my future hubby graduate from college, went to my cousins wedding, visited New York to see our friends get engaged, found out one of my best friends is having a baby, and enjoyed the company of friends and family... see? I feel as if I did nothing! Crazy isn't it?

Although, I have to admit that Fall is my favorite season of the year, and I look forward to it every year. I am not sure exactly why.. but here are ten reasons as to why I love Fall:

1. I just love the feel of the air, so cool yet fresh
2. I love the smell of falling leaves and how everything just goes to sleep
3. Festivities of Fall are just as fun as the summer! (halloween, fairs, my birthday)
4. Adding to number 3 - I love halloween, the decorating, the carving of pumpkins
5. My birthday is in the Fall, October 14th!!
^^This could be a very large part of me loving Fall, my birthday! Growing up of course every kid cant wait until their birthday, so naturally I couldn't wait until the Fall. Of course we always did Fall themed birthdays, whether it was hay rides, or going to haunted attractions..
6. I love to snuggle up in sweat pants and a sweat shirt and not be hot, or really cold.. Fall is great for this.
7. Every have a fire on a Fall night? It's perfect.
8. Sadly, I was one of the freaks who enjoyed going back to school, so another plus of Fall... but once again sadly I no longer am In school. (Maybe this one doesn't count now? oh well...)
9. Fall can only mean one thing... Big Holidays are on their way!
10. Who doesn't love the smell of pumpkin, cinnamon, apple, and anything associated with Fall?!

These are just ten reasons why I love Fall..

BUT for this year? My number one reason why I love Fall..... MY WEDDING!

Now, less than a month away I will be getting married... I can't believe August is done.. Hello September!
