Photography Fun

I've always loved photos. In fact, Im a huge scrapbooker. Even though the last 2 years my scrapbooking has been minimum due the fact that time is just so hard to get around the house these days. I plan to go to digital scrapbooking, and make year books, because it'll just be less time involved, and honestly, when I'm behind on my scrapbooking, I GET STRESSED OUT. So.. anyway.

Photos.. I take LOTS of them, I document everything I can.. I just love to look back at them.

I do some mini photoshoots here and there for friends/family.. not much. I just enjoy doing them, because I love doing them for myself too.

Heres a peek at the shoot I did yesterday with this lovely mama to be!

Weekend Review: Photoshoot & Shower!

Saturday was one busy day for this momma to be. It started out with a maternity shoot with the hubs. That was a lot of fun. We did tons of pictures around the house, and I can't wait to see how they turn out. I have a few that I will post as teasers, because that's all I have right now! My friend Rebecca is our photographer and she just does fantastic pictures, I know they will come out awesome. (EEEk, can't wait)

I had my shower as well, which was amazing. I am so thankful for all our friends and family who came out to celebrate us bringing to the world this little boy! We got so much great stuff, that is going to help out so much. We played some games, opened up TONS of gifts, and had some awesome food. It was a relaxing day, and I couldn't have pictured it any other way. I will be getting the pictures from that up on my computer soon and will post some of the highlights in the next coming days. Stay tuned for that!

Now that I have had my shower, my living room looks like a tornado of cute stuff has gone through it. I've been organizing one thing at a time, and as of last night it actually started to look like my living room again. I started going through the clothes and preparing them for their first wash so I can organize and put them away then. THIS child will NOT need anymore clothes for awhile, that's for sure. HOLY CRAP he got alot of clothes. Just looking at the tiny little outfits and cuteness of it all makes me so so so excited. His room is coming alot great, and hopefully should have it completely finished within the next 2 weeks. That is my goal!

Reality has struck now that I have 9 weeks left. Yep, double digits now, wow. It's going to go so fast, and at times I'm ready for it to go fast, and yet, I'm scared to death. I guess that is an emotion every mom to be has, so much change is ahead of us.

BUT.... I know we have tons of great family and friends that will be there for us to help us out, that I know I can count on, and helps ease my anxiety on the whole, HOLY CRAP WE HAVE TO CARE FOR THIS TINY HUMAN BEING. No one ever knows what they are doing at first, and I think all parents STILL learn even as their children grow into adults. We do what we can, how we can, and that's what I keep telling myself. "You'll be a great mom, don't worry."

I can say that I am excited for Fall now though. Fall is my favorite season, and THIS Fall I have a lot to look forward to, BRING IT ON.

My sneak peak of some of our maternity shoot.

Update...It's FRIDAY!

Woo hoo, we have reach Friday people.

**Quick update on my OB apt yesterday. Dr said that more then likely my problems are indeed my gallbladder and that is sounds VERY likely it is the cause of all my pain. The solution? Pretty much what I figured she would say, "there is not much we can do at this time." OK, so I knew that, I knew that I wasn't going to ask to have emergency surgery to have it removed that instant... but still, I just want to figure out WHAT these pains are. I will get some bloodwork done next week, and if I have another attack will then get an ultrasound. So, at this point... it's just continuing with this strict diet.

TOMORROW TOMORROW TOMORROW

Tomorrow is a big, exciting, fun filled day for me and the hubs. I will start tomorrow morning out by having a maternity shoot, and I am super stoked. I have my outfits picked out, hopefully they look ok.. if not oh well. I have a few spots in mind to take some pictures, and couple props. I can't wait to see how they turn out. I just LOVE pictures.

THEN, tomorrow afternoon is my BABY SHOWER! Yes, super super excited. I know it's just going to be a kick-ass one. Perfect weather, bbq, family, friends, and super cute baby stuff... and of course the guys (and probably some of the gals) will have beer on their list. It's just going to be a kick back time to celebrate this joyful time in our lives. I wouldn't say we like to do things big, but we like to do them on the bigger side then normal =)

My mom informed me it would be my last party she's throwing me (jokingly of course). No more graduations, showers, weddings... it kind of made me sad to think about it. Made me think how old I am now, that although every kid we have will be a big milestone, this is my last BIG MILESTONE in the sense of growing up. Unless I think about my 25 year anniversary or 50 etc, but what else really is there?

I love me some parties, so I will just have to think of a reason to have a big party in the future. I guess that's where I take over as Mom and begin throwing big parties for Kayden. His first birthday I am sure will be one to remember. I love to entertain, and not to brag, I think I'm pretty darn good at it from the food to the decorations to it all. It's just my thing.

Updates and photos will of course be shared then...

Going to relax tonight, in preps for a busy day tomorrow for this prego.

Enjoy your weekends everyone!

Hellooo Friday.

Sometimes I wish I could go through the week without wishing it was Friday everyday....

My weekends are usually so jammed pack that all week long I just stress and think about them everyday. That makes Monday thru Thursday obsolete.

Sorry Monday thru Thursday but Friday is my favorite day... what can I say. Maybe, if my job was like some crazy super fun job, I wouldn't feel the need to want Friday to be here so quickly... that'll be the day.

This weekend is full of family fun. Tomorrow we are hosting my brother in law's 21st birthday BBQ at our house. There will be around 25 people there... I have lots of cleaning to do tonight. I also have lots of cupcakes to make.

I'm making death by chocolate cupcakes. I made it as a cake once and it turned out fabulous.. so I decided for my sanity's sake to make it into cupcakes.. saves me time and stress..I am sure they will come out scrumptious.

Hopefully, it is really nice tomorrow, just hoping no rain decides to show up and crash the party.

Sunday will be a realzing (relaxing) day finally... We don't have much do to besides sit around and then go to my parent's for our Sunday family dinner. In the early afternoon I will be taking my brother and sister in law out to a nearby park to take some family photos of them, so i am pretty excited about that. Hopefully, they turn out as good as I am, hoping they will. The park is really pretty and has a lot of open feields (fields) and woods, and even a cute creek running through part of it.

Overall it will be a great weekend...

Hope your weekend is as jammed packed as mine, or not, whatever floats your boat!

**I bet you were wonering (wondering) why I had misspelled words throughout this post, with the corrected word beside it huh? I decided it would be fun to type this whole post with my eyes shut.. I know corny.. but I'm actually really tired, and it felt good to close my eyes... 3 mistakes..hmm not too bad huh? I like to consider myself a pretty good typer.. fast too... oh so bored.

=) Have a great weekend!

A this and that day...

Spring is only two weeks away... I am so ready for warmer weather. Even though we have hardly had a Winter so to speak... I am over the 30 degree or less weather... I feel like every year I begin to hate Winter more and more. If I could pick up everything and move to somewhere warmer (and bring all of my family and friends) I would. I need sun in my life, I need t-shirts, flip flops and the beach. Oh, please hurry Summer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last night we went and hung out with my sister-in-law and nephew, they are leaving to go back to California tomorrow. It's sad, I will miss them, but they will be back around June, so it will only be for a couple of months. At least the next time they come to visit, they will have my brother-in-law with them, which only means he is finally done his deployment. That will be a good day, when he is finally home and on safe grounds! Remember my bracelet that said "Support Our Troops"? Remember I said I would wear it until he came home, safe a sound? Well, I have stuck true to my promise, I haven't take it off once! Once he is home, I will take it off..(but probably still wear it) and that will leave me with one bracelet left to take off, my No One Fights Alone bracelet, for my Grandfather who is fighting Cancer... that will be a great day too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been thinking alot about photography, I enjoy doing it so much. I don't think I am all that shabby either. I am going to start practicing more, a lot more once it gets warmer out. I have this dream of when we move, my craftroom will have an area for photography shoots, you know lighting, backgrounds, props, the whole nine yards? It would be great, and I have the room for it! We will see what the future holds..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Within the next week I will be joining the new gym the put in near my house (only 10 minutes away!) I definitely need to get back into getting in shape... it hasn't been a top priority this past month...and it needs to be. I still have a lot more weight I would like to lose. Especially before gasp bathing suit season comes along...oh the agony.

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been thinking about getting tatted up again soon. Nothing, actually new new, but an add on of a previous tattoo. I have 4 tattoos, and love them. I love the artistic aspect of a tattoo. I actually did a report in college of the artist side of tattooing. I would like to get the tattoo on my ankle/foot added on to. It is shooting stars, I'd like to get them to wrap around the top of my foot and put the word Believe somewhere in the mist of the stars. What do you think? Every tattoo of mine has some sort of meaning, maybe I will share them with you one day as a post.... stay tuned for that.

Well, I've rambled on enough... Enjoy your Tuesday!

The new love of my life...

Say hello to the new love of my life...

Finally... is all I have to say.

With my awesome tax money.. I bought myself my very first DSLR..

No, it may not be the cream of the crop, but it's still pretty damn good. Anything is better then a point and shoot. I'm still learning all of the incredible features, I love to take pictures, it's a hobby of mine... So finally getting my hands on a camera like this, makes me sooper dooper excited
(saying this with a BIG cheesy smile on my face)

My husband feels like a model now... it's actually starting to get to his head. He actually talks about his modeling career now, I guess having the camera in his face a lot now as I learn the features of my new love doesn't help. He is a stud though.. it could work out for the both of us... =)

Watch out world...

A goal for 2012

In my last post I talked about the bundle that I bought full of goodies... I've been thinking about this for the last couple days. Even though I still got the items at a discounted price... it is not enough! You all know how I like my deals... I am constantly updating my sweet deals page, which you should check out! But, I've decided I want to become a extreme couponer!!! This is one goal for myself in 2012...to become a super saver. I need to study up on this... but I will fill you in with how it goes with my journey to become a EC.... I'm totally excited. It seems like it could be a lot of work, but it's totally worth it.. I just need to make a game plan. Check back on my sweet deals page for updates and how I am doing.

This week is the week of the birthdays. You guys are going to drop your jaw if you don't know this already.....

My husband's birthday is this Friday.. he will be 23! I'm not sure what we are doing yet... maybe dinner and a movie? We will see....

But... this Friday is also his mom's birthday.... oh and don't forget... his DAD'S birthday too! Yes, all three of them have the exact same birthday. Crazy right? It only makes for having to think of triple the gifts... but then our little nephew came along almost 3 years ago.. and he was born on February 5th! oy vey... my sister in law actually went into labor on the 3rd... thank the lord she held him in. When I have kids... you better be damn sure I will plan to stay away from February as BEST I can. So, I am in the yearly mad rush of, what should I get them... and them... and them... and them...? It's never ending.. and my wallet is feeling the pain. It's the crazy birthday month..... but it's fun all the same! I will be making them a cake for Saturday.. which is when all of us will be getting together to celebrate. I'll be sure to put up a picture of it... it's going to be super yummy!

I've also decided that my left over tax money (after buying couches) will be used to buy a brand spankin' new DSLR camera... I can't wait! I've only ever had the cheesy digital cameras, which don't get me wrong, work just fine.. But I love taking pictures (a lot) And it's a hobby I'd like to get into more... so I'll get a camera and go from there! I can't wait! I might even get an iPad if I have some extra money leftover after that.. It's like Christmas over here... yippee!

Happy middle of the week!
