What a busy weekend! We finished moving everything in this past weekend, and what a job it was.
Friday I took off, because all of our appliances came in the AM.. I was so excited! I finally had a kitchen, and everything looks great, works great, and makes me so excited to use my stove! We also moved over some furniture including our dinning room set, bedroom set, and Ryan's mancave furniture. It was alot! But, everything looks great in there, and it finally started to look like a home! Later that night was spent loading up a huge trailor with all of our boxes. I didn't realize how much we really had until we filled that huge enclosed trailor with everything. Holy cow. It was unbelievable. Luckily, I had lots of help and it made things go SO much quicker. We didn't finish unloading until about 10 and just beat the thunderstorms.
I spent all day Saturday unpacking. It was fun actually, almost like Christmas morning, because I honestly couldn't remember what was in every box. It was one of those things where I was like..."wow, forgot I had that, sweet!" but there was also a few things that I unpacked that was more like, "what the hell is that?"
Needless to say, I actually started a yardsale box, so sad I know! But, after more then 3 years of collecting stuff, some of it was just not needed!
Sunday was still an unpacking day... and finished moving over my clothes. It took a whole car load in my SUV with the seats down to fit all of my clothes. It was ridiculous... but I got them all into my closet just like before (except before I had 2 closets, now I just have one larger one) I went grocery shopping in the morning for the first time to fill up the fridge. I went to Costco of course and spent some $dough$... now, I just have to go again tonight to finish up the shopping... yay for food!
Successful weekend? I think So! Now we just have to finish up a few more items... the easy stuff, hanging pictures and curtains, things like that. I promise I will have some pictures up soon... still in the organizing, putting away stage. But, it's coming along nicely and actually starting to feel like home!
