I miss Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year... yet I am stuck in the "in-between" phase of not being able to enjoy it.

I'm obviously too old to go trick-or-treating, as much as I still would. I think people would look at me funny...

I don't have any kids... so I cant take them out trick-or-treating...

What stinks even more is that where I live... we really don't get trick-or-treaters either.. just not working out for me. My "neighborhood" first off, doesn't have that many little kids in it, plus the ones that are little enough, no one wants to walk my block... considering it is about 2 miles long, and uphill both ways - not kidding. (you know the stories that your grandparents would tell you? You know, "when I went to school, I had to walk uphill both ways." sadly that story is true for me) I live in sort of a valley or maybe a hollow, its not huge, but try walking kids around its going to get tiring... so I don't even get the joy of handing out candy, bummer.

One reason, I cant wait to have kids... take them out on Halloween, and eat all their candy just like my parents did.

On another note... another Halloween gone, and now it is November. Time for the craziest part of the year... the holiday season. I already have my Christmas list ready.. and my black Friday route planned. One thing I love is shopping, especially for others. I just love the feeling of giving a great gift - that's why I put LOTS of thought into my gifts, always have, always will. I just love this time of the year, I would have to say my favorite months would be October-December... and next year Ryan and I will be able to have our 1st Christmas together in our own place, THAT I can't wait for.
