Busy Bee Weekend

I'm feeling neglectful.... to my blog. Every since my wedding i have forgotten about you. I feel bad. SO - I'm going to get back into my routine once again and start writing my crazy life.... or try and write it to my best ability.

Here I go.. back into the swing of things...

Friday was my birthday.. and I turned 22... ehhhh it was OK. Definitely one of the quietest birthdays ive had for awhile. I had off work - which was great. But, being me I didnt sleep in, which would have been nice.. instead I got up super early and treated myself to the new iphone 4S... which I absolutely love by the way. I then met a friend at the mall and shopped and she treated me to lunch at Olive Garden... mmmhmm... salad, soup and breadsticks (yum) Then the hubby took me out to dinner and it was a nice quiet evening, which I didnt mind so much.

Saturday and Sunday consisted of work.... lots of work. We are working on our future home... yes I said it - our home. I posted a little about it a few days ago... my childhood home my parents built - has been handed down to me. It has a lot of outside yard work to do, and were taking advantage of the beautiful Fall weather and getting some things done... like taking out huge trees... overgrown bushes... and just getting the yard to a decent place before we move in the early spring... I cant wait. Everyday draws us closer to finally being OUT of my parents house and INTO our very own place, doing our very own thing. Excitement doesnt even begin to describe it.

Sunday I went to one of my best friends baby shower... I cant believe she is due so soon (December) It feels like yesterday we were running around being silly kids.... then stupid teenagers... now here we are, adults and our lives and families are growing and we've become who we always said we would be...and I couldn't be more happier for her. I cant wait to get my hands on her little princess when she comes along! You always have that one friend that you can relate to with anything... and you know that she'll always be around.. and you'll always be friends.. that's her - I hope that one day our kids can become friends just as we did, and have some amazing memories to talk about...

I also made her baby shower cake, her shower was Fall themed, so I of course made a cake shaped as a pumpkin! I was pleased with the results!


..... besides having a busy weekend - here it is Monday, and its back to the swing of things...
