Curious Indeed

I stayed up to 2 am last night watching a movie... I told you I tend to do that. So, yes I woke up later than ever today, but the movie I watched was worth it. Last night I watched the movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I had heard of it before, but I never got around to watching it, so last night I finally did.

What an intriguing movie... Sad, funny, romantic... all jammed into one long movie. But, as tired as I was, I couldn't turn it off.

If you have never watched Benjamin Buttons, here is a short review. It is about a man who is born after the first war, and then abandoned by his father as a baby. His mother died during his childbirth... and he was unwanted by his father. He is not a normal child, in time he actually ages backwards. It is a movie about his life, his struggles, and him falling in love. If you are into movies like this, I suggest taking the time to watch it.

If you have watched the movie, here is a little discussion. Let's start off with the fact that this is impossible, but go to the fact that it did make a crazy story plot. Could you imagine being 7 and looking like you are 80? How about that his whole life, only a select few people knew about his disorder? It seems odd to me not to have told someone, but I guess a judging factor comes in. Some people just wouldn't be able to handle the truth. I think what really got me was (don't read if you have never seen it, skip to next paragraph!!) in the end, when he was no more than an infant baby, his love of his life holding him in her hands, he just dies. It is one thing to watch an elderly pass, but a baby... yeah.. I cried. How about the daughter?!? All her life, never knowing that her "father" was not her biological father, and then to learn all of these things about your mother and the rare disorder your father had. Talk about hard... I couldn't even imagine.

Such a wild movie.. really makes you think about life? Live every moment, enjoy every step, be grateful for all that you are given, because you never know what is just around the corner, or as Queenie said in the movie, "you never know what God's going to bring ya."

That's a pretty good quote. You never know what He's going to bring ya... Somedays, I wish I did know!

But that's life right?

Enjoy your day... and enjoy every minute of it =)
