This past week in review: BUSY

It's been obvious that I've been busy busy this past week with the silence that's been here on my blog.

This past week has been full of work and BBQ's and family get-togethers.

We worked hard on the house finishing up odds and end projects that have been just laying around. You know, the one's you continually walk bye and *sigh*.... Yes, we finally got most of them done. I will admit there are still a few of those *sigh* projects laying around, but we got the biggest ones done. We worked inside and out.. and let me tell you it was hot hot hot and muggy this weekend.

I had a nice long 4 day weekend, it was fantastic. It definitely made me NOT want to go back to work on Wednesday.

We had 3 BBQs this past weekend, two of them being at our house and one at my parents. I just love a nice BBQ and sitting outside on our finally complete patio! Friday night we ran to Home Depot and bought us a patio set, I had my eye on a few, and when one finally went on sale, I was all over that baby! I even went on my lunch break (Home Depot is right down the road from my work) and wanted to fit that puppy in my SUV.. yeahhhh not happening. So, we brought the truck that night and got us a set. I had also ordered a "conversational" set online that arrived the day before. So, Saturday we put together our patio, and it looks great.

Although, there was one set-back. Actually, two. The first was as we finished putting together the online set I bought.. the last chair... just wasn't going together. Until we realized that they had manufactured the back of the chair backwards!!! Really?? The right side where you screw the back into the legs was welded on top, and not the bottom where it should have been.... ugh. So, I've been put on a waiting list (4 weeks) to get the replacement part. Awesome. The 2nd? We go to get the new umbrella out that we bought for the table and.... there was no pole with it... REALLY?? REALLY??? It's like we couldn't win. I took it back yesterday and got a new one, with a pole. I told the lady, "I don't think it would have worked, unless we had a itty bitty table"

So, things are worked out.. and the patio still looks great, as the house. It's exciting to actually be able to come home and relax. A word I haven't known for a few months now.

Tuesday morning at 3 AM.. my brother and sister in law arrived from their drive from California. Yes, 3 AM. Needless to say it was one reason why I took of Tuesday from work.. it was an early morning.. and a long day. It is great to see them, and for them to stay with us and see our new place for the first time. I think they really like it. They left for the mountains today, so they will be gone for a few days, but we have lots planned, so the next couple weeks will be fun.

I'm excited for this weekend... we are joining some friends and going down to Camden, NJ to a BIG country concert.. it's an all day affair, and it's going to be sweet. Some big names will be appearing.. I'll tell you more on that soon.

For now... life is stressful, but life is good. Isn't that how it always is?

Enjoy your Thursday, the weekend is almost here!

Happy Memorial Weekend!

I'm so over painting.. even though I'm not too bad of a painter, I kind of hate it.

After weeks of what felt like on and off painting, it is complete.

FINALLY!

Well, as complete as it's going to get for a good while at least.

No, I didn't paint all the rooms, I have to admit, I just primed 3 of them. But, honestly? I DONT GIVE A SHIT at this point.

We are going to remodel the two bathrooms, so why even bother with actually painting it. I have to say that the primer (which is an off white) made the bathrooms look a whole hell of a lot better then what they were. Walls with stains and drywall patches isn't too pretty, but a little primer on them does wonders. So, for me, that is quite alright. I'll actually paint them when we redo them.. so screw it, it looks great.

As for the spare bedroom, I primed that too, because at this point I don't even know what color I want to paint it, so the primer gave it a better look, just like the bathrooms. Plus, I don't even think anyone would really know unless I told them... even though I just told you.

(Don't give a shit, remember?)

Anyway... I'm just glad that is over with, and now I can have a bathroom back, and can get on with my life somehow.

Busy Busy weekend coming up. Lots of BBQs and lots of cleaning, preparing, organizing, before my brother and sister in law come in. It will be fun having them visit... even with a 3 year old and two dogs, I can handle it.. (I think) =)

Happy Memorial weekend everyone... and don't forget to remember just what this weekend is about.

Suck it up.

This week is busy... like every other week of course.

From finishing up painting, to finishing up all the odd and end projects that have been just sitting around the house. I can't wait until I can come home from work one day, and not have a project that needs to be done this instant. I know there will be forever projects, but these seem to have to be done now.

I'm on a deadline people. From family coming in and staying with us, to the housewarming party that I would SOMEDAY like to have. Who knows if that is ever going to happen either.

It'll be nice to be able to relax one day, maybe? That's OK, who needs sleep anyway?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that we are "settled" in... if you want to say it that way, although my previous ^^ comments say were not.. I need to get back on my diet...

ugh.

That's what I have to say about that.

I need to lose another 45 pounds... I set a goal to do it by my birthday, which is in October. I know it can be done, most definitely, it's my motivation that's going.."nahh.. you're fine.. eat that damn ice cream already"

Stupid motivation... I need to find some.. and stop holding myself back. I want to, I sooo desperately want to lose the rest.. I've already lost 50.. I know I can do it.. I just need to start.

The sad thing is.. I don't eat bad, I really don't. I just need to workout, everyday... twice a day if I want to lose it quicker. Probably, not the healthiest way.. but I know I can maintain it, if I just get there. If PCOS wasn't so called, in my life, I wouldn't even be having this conversation with myself. But, what can you do? I need to suck it up is what I need to do.

I sound so harsh on myself, but honestly? It's the only way to get my ass moving in the right direction...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I was at this point where I thought I knew what I wanted in life... job.. kids.. etc. Now? I'm not so sure. I won't go into details too much.. but my mind is a little bit everywhere. that feeling of, What am I doing, What do I want to do, and What am I going to do to get there?

Life is so hard, so I say, although many people would tell me my life isn't hard. I would agree. But, everyone has their struggles... some worse then others.

I need to suck it up in that area too.

Today is just a suck it up type of day.

I'm back!

Things have obviously been quiet around here due to me being on a business trip for 4 days.

It was also a very long, long, tiring, 4 days.

I've actually never been away all by myself like that, staying in a hotel, doing my own thing. It was w.e.i.r.d. I felt totally out of place, you know, then the anxiety kicks in. But, I got through it, and I'm still here.

It's just a totally different experience going off on your own, without the comfort of home. I missed my husband pretty bad, and I could tell he missed me too when I got home. Although, I have to say he did take good care of the house, it wasn't totally trashed.

I'm not one to travel away from my loved ones... thus the reason I hardly moved in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to travel, but more of a vacation type of travel, with my husband, not alone.

It was a nice get away though when I really think about it. I didn't have to cook, clean or feel the need to do anything really at night, but I don't think I want to make a habit of it.

I have a busy week coming up... I have lots of things to do around the house before my brother and sister in law come into town from California. I have to prepare their room, and finish up projects that have still been sitting around (that are really starting to get to me now)

They'll be in early next week and staying with us for a good bit.. it's going to be fun.

So, this week.. will be lots of projects, painting, hanging stuff, organizing, etc. I'm going to try and get as much done as possible... let's hope that happens.

Feels good to be home... have a great week!
